Hormone Replacement Therapy, Should I or Not?

Hormone Replacement Therapy, (HRT) “It doesn’t prevent heart disease. In fact, it increases the risk of heart disease, breast cancer and stroke.”Dr. Jay Brooks, chairman of hematology/oncology, Ochsner Health System, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The debate has just begun but the statitics are in and the spin has begun. Rarely do we have the medical professionals divided over a treatment that has been over a wide range for so long. However the week before Chistmas 2006, researchers at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center confirmed and announced that their studies found that the number of breast cancer victims in the U.S. had decreased by more than 7 %. in 2002 Women’s Health Initiative published the results of a Hormone Replacement Therapy study that showed found increased health risks among HRT users, mostly risk for stroke and breast cancer. Millions of women stopped hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and millions more avoided HRT following the publication of these results.

Natural Hormone Supplecation does provide relief for menopause sufferers but are not encouraged by professional with the same vigor as prescriptions…
